New Years 2006

Well this was pretty awesome for a last minute party. I have only been in the country for about 3 days, so I think I had a good setup for almost no prior planning and not much food in the fridge before today!! This morning I got some food and also I got lots at Target as well.

We had oven-made Pizza, carrots and broccoli in dip, Red Vines Licorice (more on that later), drinks and a little bit of champagne, chips and a fancy dip that Taylor created.

Oh yeah the deal with the Red Vines Licorice is that SNL (Saturday Night Live) recently had a skit called "Lazy Sunday" where two of the SNL cast members rap about eating cupcakes and going to watch Narnia on a weekend, and at one point they rap about how the theatre is overpriced and they are going to pack some Mr. Pibb (kinda like Dr. Pepper) drinks and Red Vines into a backpack and take it into the theatre with them, haha it is so hilarious so we thought we ought to pay some tribute to that and get some Red Vines for ourselves.

The food was really good and we just hung out for a while, watched New Years on TV in some different time zones, watched some movies on TV, hung out on the balcony for a bit, and laughed at the insane news anchors on the local news channel interviewing all these super crazy San Francisco partiers on the street, it was hilarious!!!!

We eventually turned on some sweet music and of course the living room is definitely big enough for some dancing so we had to cut it up a bit to the good tunes. Fun times!!

It was great to spend a bunch of time with these guys and Justin was able to come too as he is moving his stuff to his new apartment in Berkeley but is still staying here for a bit longer.

It was a relaxed kinda casual New Years, but a great time with good friends, and that's the most important part. Rock on!!

Finally, food in the fridge!!

Lots of junk food
