Some of the best CG I've ever seen: The Third and the Seventh

This lighting and compositing is some of the best I've ever seen. This is insane. The "focus" (nice pun, eh) on models of cameras and film and lenses at the beginning of this short emphasizes how much this guy must know his stuff. There is a lot of use of depth-of-field switching forward and back, which is so friggin' effective and shows off all parts of his work, shaders, models, etc nicely.

This is absolutely nuts. I can't believe it's all CG. There is some compositing work, I wonder if that human is CG or real. You don't really ever see his face, and it almost looks like he does the same move in one scene vs. another... but it's so hard to tell when everything else is so friggin' perfect. So impressive.

From his site:
"A FULL-CG animated piece that tries to illustrate architecture art across a photographic point of view where main subjects are already-built spaces. Sometimes in an abstract way. Sometimes surreal."

Amazing work.
