This is INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARHGHGHHGHGHGGH I LOVE IT!!
I figured this might be the track that we got a sneak peak at in the video I posted from their website from last week.
It's SO jive-y!! Reminds me of the excitement of "Stay (Wasting Time)" from Crowded Streets, the solo is friggin' solid, the beginning is strange and kinda sad, pensive... you can just see Dave sitting at the park, thinking about life... then it spikes at the line "when the evening comes"... the chorus is really sharp, still "radio-friendly" but not more than is welcome... then it busts into a really quiet lyrical section, violin solos, guitar solos... just RIDICULOUS!! Hmm listening to it again now, I think I just heard a bit of piano in the back there. The guitar solo reminds me of some of that sweeping frickin' glorious electric solos from the band Live's Distance to Here album...
AHHHHHHHHHHH man I am listening to this on repeat all day tomorrow...
