Siggraph 2008 Day 1 (well, Evening 1, that is)

I got into LA last Tuesday night at about 10pm and literally went DIRECTLY TO A PARTY. :) Awesome. I was staying at my buddy Kurt's house in North Hollywood and so instead of heading back there, we just went to a siiiiiiick Texas A&M Party!! It was amazing!! Some very legendary Professors there as well as a bunch of people I recognized: Piotr and Ellen, Kurt (of course) and some other crazy peeps. I also got to meet lots of Kurt's friends including Brian and Katie, they were nuts and sounded hilarious Texan. Gotta love it!!! Katie was crazy and there was yet another one of those classic self-esteem boosting, "Wait a second, are you Mike... JUTAN?!?!??!" moments. :) Haha.

So that was fantastic, we stayed there at the Westin for a while and then took off to some random somewhat dodgy looking area where the Lighter/Darker party was. Pretty awesome, there were tons of work peeps there but it was a little slower than expected (only about 100 people), given that it was already 1:30am when we arrived. :) We certainly started off Siggraph well!!!
